Birds of Prey Visit with some live predators in person. Meet birds of prey and learn about the adaptations of eagles, owls, vultures, hawks and falcons. Flying Tigers: Kansas Owls View these silent-flying, night time predators up close and learn how they live and hunt. Fur, Feathers & Scales Explore how animals dress to protect and camouflage themselves, fly and keep dry. Learn how the outside of each animal is uniquely adapted to it’s special lifestyle. The Untouchables Give a few misunderstood animals a chance to show off the special characteristics that make them unique. A snake, an opossum, a spider and other unlovable animals will try to make a good impression on your students. The Wildlife of Kansas Meet live Kansas animals representing the different habitats of our state. Learn how these animals are adapted to live in prairies, wetlands and woodlands of Kansas. In Cold Blood-The Herps * new Not so warm and fuzzy, but just as interesting, meet the slimy, scaly and slithering members of the herps: frogs, toads, salamanders, turtles, snakes and lizards. |
