| Adventure Challenge Programs for Schools and Scout Groups Stimulate your students' creative problem solving skills in a non-traditional classroom: the outdoors! People learn best when they apply ideas to real life situations. Challenge course programs create real life problems and challenge students to come up with successful solutions. Adventure challenge activities and initiative games promote creative problem solving in a cooperative group environment. The atmosphere creates an opportunity for all students to contribute ideas to accomplish a common goal. This leads to students learning to recognize their own hidden strengths and those of others. Facilitators emphasize group goal setting, generating ideas for solutions, planning and a commitment to success in a non competitive atmosphere. The Low Element Course These group problem solving challenges are designed to promote cooperation between individuals, enhance communication, stimulate creative thinking, and improve long term planning. The activities stress group commitment and respect for others while engaged in working for a common goal. These challenges are non-competitive, allowing all participants the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the group. Challenge course activities are suitable for grades 6 and above. |
