| Adventure Challenge Programs for At Risk Youth |

| The Stone Nature Center adventure challenge course began in the 1980's as a tool for working with at risk youth in out of home care. It quickly expanded to working with youth from schools, scouts and camps. The adventure challenge program helps build self esteem in troubled youth and to promote better social relationships and communication skills. The staff have extensive training and experience working with this challenging population . In the past, the course has been used as a treatment tool for youth in drug intervention, sex offenders, and incarcerated youth. Experienced staff can customize the challenge course activities to meet the specified goals of each group. In working with at risk youth, the staff will emphasize:
Supervising staff are required to attend the course with each group. Group size is limited to 14 individuals including staff. The Stone Nature Center's adventure challenge course has an outstanding record of safety and meets the standards set by the Association of Challenge Course Technology. |

| Program Costs The fee for the challenge course is determined by the length of time each group spends on the course. Maximum group size is 14 individuals. The course can accommodate several groups at a time, when staff are available. |
